Terry Lynn Howell, 53 of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her residence.

Terry was born on April 20, 1960, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Kenneth and Marjorie Bowser.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Rodney Lee Beck of the home; son, Tyler William Howell; sister, Kim Griffiths; and a brother, Rex Bowser.

Terry was a local CPA, respected in the business community for her business insight for farmers and small business owners. She also was an avid horse trainer, member of the NRHA, TNRHA, and the Backcountry Horsemen of NC. She was injured in an automobile accident in 1987, and continued to train and show horses from her wheelchair. She was even featured in a 2010 edition of Reiner magazine for her contributions in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, of Lexington, KY. Terry was an amazing person, always positive and smiling. She was loved by everyone that met her and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life and time of fellowship will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013, from 7-9 PM in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
