Mr. Frankie Tyrone Russell was born on Oct. 14, 1971 to Frankie Dean Russell and Annie C. Booker Hardison. He left his earthly home Sunday Oct. 6, 2019 in Ellenwood, Georgia to be with the Lord.

Tyrone professed his love for Christ at an early age, under the leadership of the late Elder Henry Tate, Sr. at Bookeridge Church of God. After he, his mother, and sister moved to Columbia he united with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Alvin Anderson Sr., where he served faithfully as a choir director until moving to Georgia. After moving to Georgia in 2005 he united with Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jerry D. Black.

He graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1990. He was employed by Emory Medical Center for 14 years in Atlanta. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. His passion was singing to and for the Lord. He loved to coach and play softball. He was as member of the “Show Stoppers” baseball team in Georgia. Tyrone loved cooking and serving others.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Porter C. Booker, Lem Russell Sr. and Hattie Mayes Russell.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted mother, Annie C. Hardison; father, Elder Dean Russell; daughters, Brittany Russell and Ashley (Kayla) Russell; sisters, Felicia Russell and Sabrina Russell; brothers, Cameron Russell and Denxel “D.J.” Russell; grandmother, Alice Booker Simmons; nieces, D’Naijah Wade and Samarah Christmon; nephews, D’Montre Wade, Jadiyah Christmon and Josiah Covington; extended brothers and sisters, Jonathan Williams, Bobby Williams, Chris Oliver, Al Jackson Sr., Chris Powell, Elishaw (Dameon) Searcy Sr., Linda Jackson and Brenda Powell; godsons, Javaris Lindsey and Kevin Goodman. A host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends. Tyrone also had an extended family from Atlanta, and surrounding states.

The body will lie in stay on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, 2 – 6 p.m. and the family will received friends from 7 – 8 p.m. at Roundtree, Napier and Ogilvie Columbia Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First Family Church, 2790 Pulaski Hwy, Columbia, TN. Eulogist Pastor Alvin Anderson, Sr.

Interment: Pinecrest Memorial Garden. Roundtree, Napier and Ogilvie Columbia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
