Amy Johnston, age 62, of Unicoi passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, October 14, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Flint, Michigan and had lived in Unicoi County most of her life. Amy was employed by the Girl Scout Council of Southern Appalachia for approximately nineteen years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Johnston, Mae and Harry Shell.
Amy leaves behind to cherish her memories, a sister, Angie Perdue and husband, Daryl of Unicoi. A niece, Shelby Perdue and a nephew, Seth Perdue. A special cousin, Tina Pate.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Jamie Hughes will officiate. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 P.M. Thursday.
