Murphysboro- Bradley Ray Godwin, 42, of Murphysboro, passed away at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Helia Healthcare of Belleville.
Bradley was born on February 4, 1977 in West Frankfort to Merle Ray and Saundra (Price) Godwin. He married Tina Mae Jackson on November 8, 1996 in Carbondale. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2010.
He was a telemarketer for APAC where he focused on providing clients with Capitol One credit cards. He was Baptist and a member of Victory Dream Center in Carbondale. He was a former active member of AWANA’s.
In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles and four wheelers and spending time outdoors with friends and family. He was opinionated and stubborn and loved to debate different topics. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his mother- Saundra Fox of Murphysboro, his fiancé- Crystal of Murphysboro, three children- G L Godwin of Grand Tower and D D Godwin and H A Reed of Murphysboro. Step children- Patrick and wife Cortney of Murphysboro, Corey and wife Jamie of Johnston City and Dakotta and wife Jessica of Herrin. Also surviving are one grandchild and 8 step grandchildren, four brothers- Craig, Bobby, S Godwin and A Godwin, two sisters- Janetta and Kathy, former sister in law- Dixie, former teacher and family friend- Mary Ann and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and wife.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 21, 2019 at Herrin City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made at Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro.
