Ruth Ann Fox, age 66, of Hedgesville, WV, died on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
Born March 16, 1953 in Berkeley Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lester “Bill” and Hope Blanche Hewett Cain.
She was a member of Bethel Independent Church where she taught Sunday School and attended Snyder’s Bible Chapel. Ruth Ann was a 1971 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Valley View Nursing Home, War Memorial Hospital and lastly with Dr. Joseph Hashem. Ruth Ann enjoyed sewing, cooking and was very active with Joy-El Bible Adventure. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dwight David Fox, at home, her children, Kathy Jo Lashley and her husband Joseph of Hancock, MD, Kenneth Dwight Fox and his wife Wendy of Warfordsburg, PA and Kevin Wayne Fox and his wife Melissa of Hedgesville, two sisters, Carol Sue High of Berkeley Springs and Connie Rai Mitchell of Warfordsburg, four brothers, Charles Leo Cain of Berkeley Springs, David Ray Cain of Hedgesville, Dale Wayne “Bo” Cain of Warfordsburg and Bobby Joe Cain of Mercersburg, PA, five grandchildren, Joseph Corey Lashley and James Darren Lashley, both of Hancock, Kalyn Andrew Fox, Leland Lane Fox and Dayton Aaron Fox, all of Warfordsburg and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Sylvester Cain and her stepfather Donald W. Stotler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Snyder’s Bible Chapel, 10890 Martinsburg Road, Hedgesville, WV with Pastor Donald Dick officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery on River Road.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday and from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
