She was born January 28, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Roscoe and Nora Kuykendall. On June 25, 1961 she was united in marriage to George Ray.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, George; two daughters, Jane L. Poe and her husband Steven of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Linda K. Finney and her husband Greg of Seligman, Missouri; one grandson, David Poe of Norman, Oklahoma and two great grandchildren, Nate and Luke.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother.
Carolyn resided in Arkansas as a young girl before moving to Missouri, where she received her education at Oak Ridge and Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. At an early age she received Christ as her Savior. In 1971 they moved to Butterfield to make their home. She was a member of Butterfield First Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the organ and piano. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, raising flowers and enjoying her much loved pet, Susie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend David Eaton, Sr. will conduct the services. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
