Rusty was born December 5, 1954 in Winter Haven, Florida. he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debra Collins' 3 children - Stephanie Moran of Combine, TX; Samantha Steele (Tripp) of Tijeras, NM and Justin "Daniel" Collins of Crandall, TX. 2 sisters Patsy Sexton of rocky Face GA, and Diana Meyers (David) of Winter Haven, FL. ;6 grandchildren- Jarod Moran, Jamie Hamblin, Brian Lacheney, Payton Steele, Jordan Steele and Addison Steele. 3 great grandsons- Jace Hamblin, Aiden Limon and Caden Lacheney. He is preceded in death by his dad, Earl Collins of Winter Haven, FL and mom, Mary Christian of Winter Haven, FL.
Rusty moved to Texas in 1981 and was last employed as Tile Quality Control Manager at Southwestern Carpets in Lewisville, TX not only a job that he truly loved, but the people he worked with, as well.
He loved hunting, fishing, skiing (water and snow) and anything that included his family, which was his everything. There is no tribute that can do Rusty justice. He was one of the kindest, most loyal, helpful and fun loving people that you could know. He always looked on the bright side of life and lived it that way.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday, Oct 15 and services at 10am Wednesday, Oct 16 at Roselawn Funeral Home. 1000 S. Hwy 175 Seagoville, TX 75159. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine.
