CHESAPEAKE—Melissa Ann Jenkins, 33, of the 1300 block of Kingston Way, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2006 in Chesapeake. A native of Suffern, NY, she was the daughter of Dennis B. and Ann Luciani Freeman and the wife of Dwayne E. Jenkins, all of Chesapeake. She was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church, the TOPS Organization, and an area pulmonary/hypertension group. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Veronica "Ronni" and two sons, Dwayne "D.J." and James "Jimbo", all of Chesapeake; a brother, Michael Freeman of New York City; an aunt, Linda Luciani of New Jersey; an uncle, Robert L. Freeman of New Jersey; and numerous other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Janet Freeman. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in South Norfolk Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Dixon and Rev. Ron Heath officiating. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times.
