Pauline “Casto” Townsend, 77, of Belleville, WV passed away at her residence on October 9, 2019. She was born September 22, 1942 in Parkersburg, WV to Mary Ayers Casto.
She was a self-employed beautician and was a member of the Belleville Baptist Church. Pauline most enjoyed out of life spending time with her girls, son-in-laws and grandchildren. She was known to many as “Nanny” and was loved by everyone. Pauline loved quilting and working outside.
Pauline will be deeply missed by her daughters, Tammy (Tom) Abbott and Robin (Rick) Sanchez; grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Barnes, Ricky (Jessica) Sanchez, Maggie (Zac) Parsons, Tabitha (Daniel) Brown, Amber Abbott; great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Tyson, Leah, Trenton, Cameron, Ziva , Gunner and baby Brown on the way; brothers, Clyde Casto, Jack (Regina) Casto, Laken (Donna) Casto, Donald (Sharon) Casto, Gary (Janet) Casto, Terry (Debbie) Casto; sister, Ada Mele; half-sister, Wilma Anderson of Missouri; sister-in-law, Mary Casto, and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Charles Townsend; brothers, Robert, Ray and David Casto; sisters, Charlene Burkes and Dorothy Casto; brother-in-law, Tony Mele; and sisters-in-law, Betty Casto, Barbara Casto and Sue Jacquay.
Visitation will be October 11, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be October 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Dornan officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
