Mollie Burnett Martin, age 89 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on April 8, 1930 in Kentucky to William F. Burnett and Clara Sheehan Burnett.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Steve Dorning officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Terry (Jerry) of Athens and Melanie Magruder (Thomas) of Columbia, SC; sons, Daniel Martin (Annette) of Lexington, SC and Arthur Martin, Jr. (Lisa) of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Mollie Rosenblum, Christopher Martin, Matthew Martin, James Rosenblum, Bruce Fagan, Sarah Fagan Guillian and Haley Martin; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Doris Martin; grandmother, Mollie Foster Ballinger.
Pallbearers are Bruce Fagan, Allen Alviso, James Rosenblum, Christopher Martin, Jason Hughes and Matthew Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Alex Colwell and Nick Colwell.
She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church.
