Penny Sue Williams, 56, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Bartholomew County.

There will be no services at this time.

Born on October 2, 1963, in Springfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late James and Wilma (Whitehead) Pennywitt. Penny was united in marriage to Maxwell Williams on April 23, 2004, he survives.

Penny worked housekeeping in the nursing home for many years. She enjoyed singing, cooking, flowers, birds, wine, and fishing. Penny was of the Southern Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, Maxwell Williams of North Vernon, survivors include daughters, Julie (Thurman) Swindall of North Vernon, Cheyenna Sharp of North Vernon, Elizabeth Sarver of North Vernon, Olivia (Derrek) Alsup; son, Timothy (Brittney) Sharp of North Vernon; step daughters, Rachel Williams, Rebecca Mason, and Michelle Upton; step son, DJ Sarver; Sisters, Robin Bragg, and Brenda Spine; brothers, Gary Newman, Mike Pennywitt, Jimmy Pennywitt, Bobby Pennywitt; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Tonya Hensley, and Deanna Robbins; brother, Billy Pennywitt.
