Mr. McElya is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida McElya; two sons, Noel and Clifton McElya of McCracken County; a brother, Roscoe McElya of Ballard County; four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bryan of Paducah, Mrs. Lizzie Pugh of McCracken County and Mrs. Laura Eicholz and Mrs. Maude Eicholz, both of Metropolis; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Foster Howard and the Rev Gates Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn Cemetery.
