Cecil "Sonny" Taylor, age 57 of Big Spring, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3pm, Monday, October 14th at the Albany Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Cecil Eugene Taylor was born December 7, 1961 in Abilene, Texas to parents Wayland Eugene Taylor & Patsy Edgar Taylor. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas and went on to serve in the United States Army. Following his Honorable Discharge, he worked at various jobs in Dallas and Abilene and then went on to work the last ten years for West Texas VA Healthcare in Big Spring as a locksmith. Sonny enjoyed motorcycles and rode with The Guardians of Children in Big Spring and Combat Vets Bike Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayland Taylor.

Sonny is survived by his son, Ryan Taylor of Ponder; his mother, Patsy Cox & husband James of Albany; one sister, Terri Matthews & husband Mike of Abilene and one niece, Hannah Matthews.
