"Noah Allen, 92, Route 1, Covington, died at 11:10 a.m. July 19, 1991 at Covington Manor Health Care Center. He was born October 31, 1988 at Cates, the son of John and Mary Catherine Hankins Allen. He was married to Lucy R. Pritchard December 17, 1922. She survives.

He was a life resident of Wabash Township, he was a coal miner in early life and a former section man on a Nickel Plate Railroad. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Surviving, besides the wife, are: two daughter, Leah Bowen, Valdosta, Georgia, Beverly Tuttle, Bluffton; one son, Rendall Allen, Bancroft, Michigan; one sister, Mary Jones, Kingman; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and eight brothers.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with the Rev. William Rudd officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery." – Star Tribune, Attica, Indiana, July 23, 1991
