Joyce M. Freeman, 85, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2019, in Beaumont, Texas. Joyce spent most of her life in Groves, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at United Pentecostal Church of Bridge City. Officiating will be Brother Murrey Ray and Reverend J. W. Harrell. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Born in Manning, Texas, on November 26, 1933, she was the daughter of Reverend Luke M. Miller and Odie Lee (Carr) Miller. Joyce loved deer hunting, camping, and she particularly enjoyed traveling. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Luke and Odie Lee Miller; and her loving husband, Alton Lee Freeman.

She is survived by her children, Gary Wayne Freeman and wife Debbie of Conroe, Patty Chance and husband James of Orange, and Brenda Shearin and husband Tim of Orange; her grandchildren, Aaron Freeman, Ashley Lee, Amber Andrus, Lee Shearin, Andrew DeLano, Garrett DeLano, Shannon Chance, and Joshua Chance; her great-grandchildren, Carter Freman, Owen Lee, Hannah Shearin, Tyler Shearin, Katelyn Andrus, Trent Andrus, and Evie DeLano; her sister, Ruth Ann Kirby and husband John; her brother, Glenn Edward Miller, all of Cleveland, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Freeman, Lee Shearin, Andrew DeLano, Garrett DeLano, Shannon Chance, Tyler Shearin, Trent Andrus, and Jamie Andrus. Honorary pallbearers are Carter Freeman and Owen Lee.
