Steven Hunter Fowers, 72, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

"Steve or Sarge", as he was known to his family and friends was born to Howard and Mildred Fowers on April 19, 1947 in Shelley, Idaho. He spent most of his life living between Boise, Idaho, Salt Lake City, Utah and Tempe, Arizona.

Sarge served honorably in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska.
He met Kathleen Ross in August 2004 and on February 14, 2007, they married in the Bahamas. It has been a wonderful 15 years of life shared with lots of adventures and memories.
Steve spent many years working in the IT field and moved on to management. He retired from Maricopa County as the Deputy Director of Maricopa County Air Quality. The people he worked with and knew him had the utmost respect for his knowledge and experience. They also called him their friend.
Steve loved going to San Diego! He could never get enough of the beach and "people watching" at Pacific Beach, California. Steve was also a long time fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and coached from the TV sidelines as often as he could.

Steve leaves behind his loving wife Kathleen, his daughter, April and her husband Kris. He was a loving grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other survivors include his brothers, Ron and his wife Dixie, Larry and his wife, Joyce, as well as daughter-in-laws (really daughters), sister-in-laws (really sisters), brothers-in-laws (really brothers) and many nieces and nephews, their children and friends. He was predeceased by other loving family members, his parents, his sons John, Jim and Bryan as well as his brothers Kevin, Bob and Howard (Bub) and a father-in-law that loved him dearly. They are all together again.

Steve also leaves behind his special best friend "Buddy", who he spoiled on a daily basis.
Steve was loved by many. All those he leaves behind will love and miss him forever and a day. He is at peace.
