She was born October 25, 1930 at Dickey's Mills (now Ponderosa) in Grayson County, the daughter of Joseph Allen Francis Sims and Mary Beulah Alvey Sims. She was a retired employee of the Lincoln Trail District Health Department, devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Peonia, Ky.,
She is survived by one brother, Lawrence Sims of Louisville, Ky.; and four sons, Allen David (Dorothy) Jacobs of Leitchfield, Dr. Dennis Norman (Regina) Jacobs of Berea, Ky., Shelton Dean (Mona) Jacobs of Clarkson, Ky., and James Lawrence Jacobs of Bowling Green, Ky.; and two daughters, Mary Lou (Eugene) Wiese of Wabash, IN, and Shirley Ann (Bobby) Higbee of Clarkson, Ky.; many special friends, extended family, and loved ones.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Michael Dean Barnes, Benjamin Israel Fryer, Matthew Jacob Barnes, Jeremy Allen Jacobs, Megan Elizabeth Jacobs, James Clifton Fryer, Michael Dane Jacobs, Jessica Nicole Jacobs, Sarah Jo Jacobs, Olivia Rose Jacobs, Catherine Rebecca Higbee, Wyatt Robert Higbee, Daniel Lawrence Jacobs, and Mary Grace Jacobs. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Jaxson Acie Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Lorena Jacobs; five sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Burial was in the St. Anthony's Cemetery.
