Ronald R. Whitehead, age 82 years, a resident of Goreville, Illinois, passed away Friday morning, October 11, 2019.
Ronald was born September 5, 1937 in the Webbtown community in Johnson County. He was the son of Vernie and Jewell (Mullinax) Whitehead.
He married Berna Dean Pritchett on September 20, 1958 at the Goreville United Methodist Church.
Ronald is survived by his wife; a daughter – Terri (Larry) of Goreville; a son – M Whitehead (R) of Tunnel Hill; a granddaughter of Goreville; a grandson of Kailua, Hawaii; great grandsons; and a sister –
Ruth of Lombard.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers – Joseph and Wayne Whitehead; and a sister – June Miller.
Ronald attended the Goreville United Methodist Church. He was an electrician by trade at Missouri Portland Cement Plant and General Tire. He was an avid Goreville Blackcat sports fan. Ronald dearly loved his grandkids and great-grandsons.
A service honoring the life of Ronald R. Whitehead will be conducted Tuesday morning, October 15, 2019, at 10:30 AM at the Goreville United Methodist Church, 116 West Adams St., Goreville, Illinois.
Burial will be in the Webb Cemetery near Tunnel Hill.
