Born about 1800. The death certificate of son, Thaddeus, says he was born TN. Date of death and burial place unknown. Parents unknown. A good candidate for his father is the William Williams found 1820 Clay and 1830 Morgan County, KY. He married Abigail 'Abba or Abbie' Lewis (known from death records of two son, Silas and Thaddeus). He is found in Perry County, KY in 1830 and 1840. Abigail likely died 1847-1850. Deeds in Perry county:
5 Oct 1848 Frederick Williams and wife of Morgan County, Ky sold land to Ephraim Pennington (his close neighbor in 1840) in Perry Co. on Cutshin Creek (present Leslie County). Rec'd 11 Dec 1848. Frederick bought land from John A. Duff in 1838.
10 Nov 1849 Frederick Williams of Carter County sold to John Baker of Perry land on Cutshin and Williams Branch.
There is no Fredrick Williams in either Carter or Morgan County in 1850, but there is a William F Williams in Morgan, married to Celia. He may or may not be the same as Fredrick. There are two reasons to believe he is not: Wm F was born about 1812, about a decade younger than Fredrick (born 1800-1810 per 1830, 1791-1800 per 1840 census). Second is the presence of a son John, age 15, in his 1860 household. Abba and Fredrick's son John is found in the household of Silas and Wadie Williams in 1860 (Silas and John are brothers). Conceivably John was counted twice in the census.
William F and Celia are still alive in 1880 (Morgan). They had a son Harvey 1850 or 51 and a son William 1862. Milly Pendleton is in their 1850 household. Pennington is often listed as Pendleton in early censuses. Milly and Celia are the correct age to be sisters.
