FORTVILLE, Ind.–Rev. Robert E. England Sr., 78, of Fortville, Ind., was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father, early in the morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born on June 30, 1941 near Bedford, Pa., a son of the late John and Maxine (Price) England.

Bob was raised in Salem, Ohio, where he graduated from high school in 1959. He earned a Bachelor of Theology in 1963 from God’s Bible School & College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. England had a passion for higher education, serving as Administrator and Professor of Bible and Theology for 43 years at Allegheny Wesleyan College, God’s Bible School & College, and Union Bible College. He completed a Master of Arts in 1984 and a Master of Divinity in 1992, both from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, and earned his Doctor of Ministry through Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo., in 2002.

A noted speaker, Rev. England served as an evangelist for camps and revivals in at least 29 states and seven foreign countries.
