She graduated from Levelland High School. After graduation, she worked at First National Bank in Levelland and later worked for SBC Telephone and American State Bank in Lubbock, Texas.
Nancy met Weldon Fletcher after he was discharged from the Army, and they were married August 1, 1964 in Levelland. They moved to Crosbyton where she worked for Wake Gin, Crosbyton National Bank and Jung and Marley Law Office. There they were blessed with three children, Darren Wilson, Shannon Irene and Lee Franklin. They moved to Snyder, Texas, where she worked for TDCJ-Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division, Parole Board.
Upon retirement, they moved to Mineral Wells where they attended Southside Church of Christ. Nancy was a member and treasurer of Mineral Wells Women's Club, member and secretary of Daughters of the Republic of Texas Solomon Bostick Chapter and member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy Major George B. Erath 2679 Chapter.
Her hobbies included cooking, crocheting and oil painting. She and her sister, Sarah, became engrossed in genealogy, making trips all over the country delving into records for information and gathering documents regarding family ancestors.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Weldon, and their three children and five grandchildren, her sister, Sarah Frances, two nieces and one nephew. Preceding her in death were her sister, Celia Ann Yeary, brother-in-law, James Yeary and brother-in-law, H.T. "Sonny" Staggs.
Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
