Visitation will be held at 10:00am Saturday, October 12th, with the funeral mass to follow at 11:30am, and a luncheon in the gym after the service. All will be held at St Michael Catholic Church, 1600 S Marion Rd in Sioux Falls. At 10:30am there will be a time for sharing stories with friends and family.
Matt had such a kind heart and a gentle soul and will be missed by so many. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2012. After high school, Matt attended Lake Area Tech in Watertown, where he received his Diesel Mechanic degree and was a skilled diesel mechanic. With those skills, he secured employment first with TranSource Truck and Equipment and most recently with Concrete Materials/Knife River.
Matt loved his family and adored his Mother. His two little nieces lovingly called him 'Uncle Matt.' Matt had a very special place in his heart for his dog, Frank, his beloved companion. Matt loved tinkering with vehicles of all kinds and the challenge of restoring them. Equally, he loved hunting and fishing and even 'attempted' to restore an old boat (inside joke), which is where he may have met his challenge. Each year, he looked forward to their annual family hunting trip up north near his grandparents (Farrell's) farm. Matt also enjoyed playing darts and hanging out with his friends around bonfires. He will be missed by his circle of friends. Matt took great care to love his friends deeply and be there whenever needed.
Matt is survived by his beloved mother, Deb Snyder; sister, Abby (Travis) Kuchta of Sioux Falls; nieces, Marlie and McKenzie Kuchta, and a 'nephew bun' in the oven; aunts and uncles, Bob (Penny) Farrell of Milwaukee, WI, Linda Damhof of Blomkest, MN, Dan (Carla) Farrell of Sioux Falls; cousins, Zack Farrell of Minneapolis, MN, Bryton (Marcia) Damhof of Blomkest, MN, Anne Farrell of Sioux Falls, and Luci Farrell of Alaska; man's best friend, Frank, his beloved companion; and many other relatives and friends.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Jeff; grandparents, Mike and Kathy Farrell, and grandfather, Jim Snyder.
