The Fairy community was saddened when news came that Sam Trimmier of Hico had passed away. Mr. Trimmier was a former resident of Fairy.


Services for Samuel Lee Trimmier were held in the Hico Methodist Church. Born in Calhoun, Georgia, he moved to Texas with his parents and settled in the Lanham community in 1895. Since that time, with the exception of five years when he and his family moved to San Antonio, he has been a resident of Bosque and Hamilton Counties. He was a retired farmer and rancher. He moved to Hico in 1944. On 1 January 1905, he married Miss Linnie Leeth of Fairy. Survived by his wife; four sons - Ray, A.C., Bowden, and Lloyd Trimmier; four daughters - Mrs. Lucille Griffiths, Mrs. Blanche McLarty, Mrs. Ima Dee Akin, Mrs. Ruth McCormick; his mother - Mrs. Lela Trimmier; one sister - Mrs. Jesse Purdom; six brothers - Mark,, John, Price, Milton, Dewey, and Roy Trimmier; 15 grandchildren. One of his grandsons, Bobby Neil McLarty preceded him in death seven months ago.
