Frances L. (Hoffman) Summers was born on March 20, 1935 in Frankston, Texas to Aubrey Lee Hoffman and Tina Mae (Cook) Hoffman. Mrs. Summers entered into eternal peace on December 17, 2018 in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Preston M. Summers, brother Jack Hoffman and dear friend George "Buck" Works. Mrs. Summers is survived by sons Marvin Prestridge and wife Linda, Aubrey Prestridge and wife Samantha, Johnnie Prestridge and Guy Prestridge and wife Kim, daughters Melody Gunter and husband Frank, Doobie Lewis and husband Garry, 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and sister Mary Mhoon. Frances loved her John Wayne movies and made sure to tune into them whenever they were on the television. She also loved summer trips in Colorado with Buck in the travel trailer. Mrs. Summers family would like to express their gratitude to Buck's children Marshall Works and Rebecca Works Falenski for accepting her in their family. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Arthritis Association, 1349 Empire Central Dr, Dallas, TX 75247 in honor of Frances.
