Jerome Robinson, 85, of McLean, passed away at 8:39 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 15, 2016) in McLean.

Jerome Mack Robinson Jr. was born June 17, 1931, in McLean, the son of Jerome Mack Sr. and Alberta Moberly Robinson. He was united in marriage with Alene L. Reidel on April 7, 1959. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2015.

Jerome is survived by their son, Jerome "Mack" (Leslie) Robinson III, McLean; one grandson, Nathan Cale Robinson, Bloomington; step-grandchildren, Sarah (Christine Ruiz) Manley, Newman, Ga., and Megan (Mike) Weber, Towanda; and one step-great-grandson, Oliver Thomas Weber.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one brother, William; and two sisters, Emma Lou Logsdon and Margaret "Pooch" Dole.

Jerome worked as a mail carrier for 35 years. He also farmed and sold tools. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the McLean American Legion Burger-Benedict Post 573. Jerome was an avid car collector, Cubs fan, and NASCAR enthusiast.
