On June 3, 1935, in Joliet, Illinois Clarence was born to James and Anna (McDonough) Stalzer. Clarence married Frances Belmont in Mississippi on November 21, 1954. Clarence worked for LTV Steel at the 84” hot strip for many years, after serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the VFW of Hammond, and the Wheatfield American Legion Post 406.
Clarence is survived by his loving family: Bob (Lucy) Lewis, Roxanne Lewis, Patrick Scott Lewis, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife: Frances, son: Michael ‘Louie’ Lewis, grandsons: Mike ‘Mario’ Lewis, Christopher Lewis, brother: Bernard Lewis, and sister: June Gato.
