The death of Mr. Edgar von Stieglitz, which occurred at his residence, Kinauld, Clayfield, early on Monday morning, removes another of the men who were well known in pastoral circles in Northern Queensland for many years. The late Mr. von Stieglitz was a Tasmanian native. his father, Mr. Francis Walter von Stieglitz, of Ormley and Lewis Hill, was an Irishman, and his mother was formerly Miss Ransom, of Killymoon, near Fingal, Tasmania. The late Mr. Edgar von Stieglitz married a daughter of the late Hon. Peter Thompson, M.L.C., and had one daughter, who died at an early age, and five sons all of whom are fighting with our brave boys at the front.
