He was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, member and past director of Dyersburg Bowling Association, past president of Mt. Vernon Bowling Association, past director of Illinois Bowling Association and past president of Mt. Vernon Rams Booster Club.
Mr. Wilbanks, the husband of Ruth Ann Wilbanks, also leaves a son, David Wilbanks of Newbern; his mother, El Nora Wilbanks of Mt. Vernon, and two grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Special Olympics, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
