(Two of Rev. HUNSINGER's daughters, Abigail and Minerva, would later marry two of Elizabeth [WHETSTONE] WILLIAMS's brothers, James W. and John Adams WHETSTONE, making Jackson's uncle his brothers-in-law's father-in-law!)
Elizabeth's parents, John & Nancy, were married on 9 Apr 1834 in Warrick Co., IN, by Rev. Moses P. Condict, a Methodist minister, though John was a Presbyterian and Nancy was a Baptist. John was raised in the area right on the Warrick-Vanderburgh County line, near the Ohio River, which is where the WHETSTONE clan settled around 1801, having been previously in Madison Co., KY, and before that apparently from Pennsylvania. Nancy McCARTY was born near Hartford, Ohio County, Kentucky.
John & Nancy WHETSTONE moved to northern White County, Illinois, when Elizabeth was just a baby, and they moved back to Indiana temporarily at least one or two more times. Her dad was killed by lighting in 1843 while plowing, working some family farmland northeast of Evansville, IN. Nancy died the next year in 1844. Little Elizabeth and her younger siblings James, Abner, and John were raised by their maternal grandparents Abner & Sarah B. (MOORE) McCARTY.
Jackson & Elizabeth (WHETSTONE) WILLIAMS had 6 sons and 2 daughters:
1) Jeremiah WILLIAMS (1856-1935; m: Willie Ann THOMAS).
2) John WILLIAMS (1859-1878).
3) James A. WILLIAMS (1860-1904; m: Frances FRAZIER).
4) Albert J. WILLIAMS (1862-1943; m: Mollie GREGORY).
5) Catherine WILLIAMS (1865-1957; m: George Madison GOWDY).
6) Joseph WILLIAMS (1868-1890).
7) Esther A. "Etta" WILLIAMS (1871-1955; m: Lawrence JORDAN).
8) Lewis J. "Luke" WILLIAMS (1873-1969; Mary Addie FULKERSON).

Gravesite Details
Jackson and Elizabeth's memorial stone had toppled over many years ago and is now apparently lost under the sod and grass, making their graves essentially "unmarked".
