Funeral Mass for Mr. John C. Majerus was said in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bellechester, Thursday, May 24, at 10:30 A.M., 75, lifelong resident of Bellechester. Mr. Majerus passed away May 22nd at St. John's Hospital, Red Wing. Fr. Ramon Buckley officiated, and interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Michael and Joseph Mann, Sean and Patrick Graves, and Jerome and William Kane. John C. Majerus was born August 18, 1908 in Bellechester, the son of John B . and Agnes (Befort) Majerus. He married the former Gertrude Mahoney on January 6, 1931 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bellechester. He farmed until retirement in 1970, and he was a member of the Bellechester Council #2751 Knights of Columbus . He is survived by his wife; two sons, John T. and Gregory of Bellechester; six daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Patricia) Mann of Goodhue; Mrs. Joseph (Jacqueline) Kane of Hastings; Mrs. Phil (Audrey) Baker of Minneapolis; Mrs. William (Janet) Krebs of Randolph; Mrs. Gary (Judith) Lodermeier of Cottage Grove, and Mrs. Neil (Corrine) Stehr of Lake City; two brothers, Wilfred and Quentin of Bellechester; five sisters, Mrs. Esther Strauss of Bellechester; Mrs. Eunice Darcy of Mazeppa; Mrs. John (Alice) Mahoney and Mrs. Howard (Edith) Schafer, both of Bellechester, and Mrs. Charles (Phyllis) Wuerth of Covington, Kentucky; 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and one sister.
