Freddie L Morgan, age 89, passed away peacefully at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford Massachusetts surrounded by his family.

Freddie L Morgan was born July 29, 1929 in Winston Salem, North Carolina born to the late Arthur J. Morgan and Minnie L. Hawkins Morgan. He was educated and graduated from the school system in North Carolina. After serving in WW2 and Korea he made his way North to Boston, Massachusetts and spent the remaining years of his life. Freddie worked many jobs and retired as an upholsterer.

Freddie was married 25 years to the late Mary Roy Morgan. Freddie was first married to Mary Frances Blackwell and they were parents of 9 children. Elizabeth R Rogers, Helena F Hughes (deceased), Deborah J Thames, Susan B Morgan, Arthur J Morgan (deceased), Walter L Morgan, Cherie M Morgan (deceased), Kimberly M Johnson and Tabitha J White. He was the brother to the late Mary F Butler, Marjorie T McFadden of Columbus, Ohio and Sandra Hawkins of Winston Salem, North Carolina. He is survived by 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and the late Madison Nevaeh Morgan-Gray and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be Saturday May 25, 2019 at 2 PM at the George Lopes Funeral Home, 821 Cummins Highway, Mattapan MA 02126. Private interment will be held through St. Michael Crematory, Roslindale, MA .
