Anthony Eugene "Gene" Martinez entered into Eternal Life on September 25, 2019. Gene, as he liked to be called entered into this life on March 2, 1945 in Denver, Colorado and was a lifelong Denver resident. He graduated from Annunciation High School in 1963, where one of his teachers was the famous Denver priest "Father Woody". After graduation he entered the United States Air Force. He served his enlistment in Guam, and was honorably discharged four years later with the rank of Sergeant. He is survived by his sister Marty (Felix) Lopez of Denver, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his loving companion, Mary Martinez. He was preceded into Eternal Life by his father, Jesse Martinez, his mother Aurora Mora, brothers Nick and Jesse Martinez, and sister Dolores Arnett. The Funeral Mass will be at Risen Christ Catholic Church at 10am on October 18. The Funeral Mass will be preceded by the Recitation of the Rosary at 930am, also at Risen Christ Catholic Church. Reception to follow the Funeral Mass. Risen Christ Catholic Church is at 3060 South Monaco Parkway in Denver.
