Judy was born in Pennsylvania, and lived in Paola, KS while growing up. She was married to Richard for 50 years, and they lived in Prairie Village their entire lives. She taught at several private schools, and in most of them, she taught kindergarten. She enjoyed when the students came back and visited after many years. She made many friends while teaching and remained close with several of them. She loved to travel, and the family took summer vacations every year to different parts of the country. After the kids moved away, they took trips with family and friends. Vegas was a frequent destination. She loved to read, and passed this passion on to her son. There seemed to always be a pet in the house, mostly cats. She even had one with her at Brighton Gardens. There was a vegetable garden in the back yard along with two large apple trees, which provided delicious eating all summer long. She LOVED her grandchildren and bragged on them whenever she got a chance. Judy liked to spoil them in every way possible. She had many pictures of them, and liked to show them off to whomever was around.

Judy is now with her Heavenly family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; daughters, Janet and Linda. She is survived by her son, William and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Nicole and Michael; and step-son, Rick and his, daughter, Krista.

Judy was adopted by the Officers and located her birth family a few years before she passed away.
