Lawrence Leon Dill, the son of the late Ores and Anna Dill was born November 2, 1925, in Conway, Missouri and passed away October 7, 2019, in Buffalo, Missouri. Lawrence was 93 years, 11 months, and 26 days of age.
Lawrence lived most of his life in the Conway area. He did live in the Kansa City area for a few years while working at the Rodney Milling Company. He was married to the love of his life, Darlene Admire on December 24, 1946, in Paola, Kansas, and to this union 3 children were born. Lawrence always wanted to be a dairy farmer, so in about 1949, they moved back home to the Conway area, where they began their lives as dairy farmers. They retired from the dairy business around 1988, and were able to travel a little, and visit more family and friends. Lawrence was a bus driver for the Conway school district for about 3 years, which he loved being around children.
Lawrence was saved at the age of 13 at Mt. Pleasant Church. He and Darlene both joined the Charity Missionary Baptist Church in 1954. Lawrence was a Church Deacon since 1971. He was a loyal member of the church and his faith in God was very strong. He would always be there if anyone needed help or a shoulder to cry on and loved everyone. He loved to sing and even would sing his special songs sometimes, which always left everyone with a warm feeling.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Ores and Anna Dill, 3 brothers, Dolan Dill, Ivan Dill, and Alva Dill.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Darlene Dill, of the home; a son, Larry Dill, a daughter, Sharon Weeks and her husband, Ronnie Weeks, A son, Leon Dill and his wife, Jan Dill, all of Conway, Missouri, 7 grandchildren, Jason Dill, of Florida, Justin Dill and his wife, Kristy, Stacy Weeks and his wife, Melany, Jeremy Weeks and his wife, Danielle, Dusty Dill and his wife, Gina, Dena Dill, all of Conway, Missouri, and Rhonda Hoover and her husband, Curtis of Sleeper, Missouri, 5 great-grandchildren, Ally Dill, Ethan Weeks, Miley Weeks, Macey Weeks, and Henry Dill, 2 step great-grandchildren Ashli and Nakoby Gregory, and 1 great-great-grandchild, and his sister, Ina Lee Haymes.
