Shreveport - There will be no local services at Carl's request. There will be a private blessing of the ashes before they are sent to Florida and placed in the family plot.
Carl was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated high school there. He joined the Army during World War II and was in the 82nd Air Borne as a parajumper. He served in Germany, and returned to go to college at the University of Florida in Gainesville where he joined the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. After graduation he went with the Aetna Insurance Co. He married Mary A. Letts while he was finishing his last year in school. He was in Atlanta, GA with the Aetna Casualty and Surety Co. He left to go into an insurance agency in Florida, but later was asked to return to the Aetna, where he worked 25 years. Several years with Kouns and Green Agency.
He and Mary traveled a great deal after his retirement. They made two tours of Europe, Canada, and the Hawaiian Islands.
Carl loved sports, golf, tennis, fishing and hunting. Also weekends at the lake with his family.
He was preceded in death by son C. Douglas Pease III, his parents, Carl and Laura Pease, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Cynthia P. Armstrong, (Bill); granddaughter, Kristina Smith (Kevin) and Kimberly Bickham (David), and two great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank everyone at the VA hospital for their devoted care during his stay there.
Carl had a sincere belief in God.
