Julie Marie Swisher Price, 51, of Jacksonville, passed away on Oct. 6, 2019 at Prairie Village Healthcare Center, Jacksonville. Julie was born Oct. 25, 1967 in Mattoon, daughter of Charles "Chuck" and Susie Swisher.
Julie's wishes were to be cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
Julie attended Humboldt and Mattoon schools. Julie graduated from Mattoon High School in 1986. She received a CNA certification from Lake Land College and worked for a few years as a CNA in Mattoon. Julie lived in the Mattoon/Humboldt area most of her life. Julie and Harlo moved to Jacksonville so that her son, Collin could attend The Illinois School for the Visually Impaired. Julie struggled with multiple health issues for many years.
Julie is survived by her son, Collin Price, Jacksonville; partner and best friend, Harlo Watkins Jr., Jacksonville; mother, Susie Swisher, Mattoon; brother, Andrew Swisher, Coral Springs, Fla.; grandmother Floretta Rodebaugh, Mattoon; aunt, Diana VonBehrens, Mattoon; uncle, Raymond Rodebaugh Jr., Sarasota, Fla.; cousin, Johna VonBehrens, Champaign, the Harlo Watkins III family, Mattoon; the Leslie Watkins family, Arcola.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Chalice Price, father, Chuck Swisher, grandfather, Raymond Rodebaugh Sr.; grandfather, Paul Edward Swisher; grandmother, Jessie Swisher.
