Caroline was a long-time member of The Church at Christ Memorial where she enjoyed participating in a variety of groups and church activities. She was involved in card clubs, bowling leagues, softball, golf and exercising at the Fitchburg Senior Center. Caroline loved collecting shells along the Florida beaches and going on gambling outings with friends and family. If there was music and a dance floor, she would be dancing with anyone who would join her. She had a great sense of humor and was always playing jokes on neighbors and friends. Caroline was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She was very caring and was available to everyone. She had a great love of birds, squirrels and chipmunks and welcomed them all to her yard and occasionally her home.
Caroline is survived by her daughters, Robin (Tom) Lavik and Tracy (Mike) Vanden Heuvel; grandchildren, Nate (Lizzy) Lavik, Alyssa Lavik and Hannah (Chad) Rose; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Rose and William Rose; sister, Kate Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Wolenec and Al Ramsey; five brothers, Fritz, Harold, Bud, Ralph and Dick; and sister, Jean.
A funeral service will be held at THE CHURCH AT CHRIST MEMORIAL, 2833 Raritan Rd, Fitchburg, at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, with a meal to follow. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Interment will take place at EDEN CEMETERY, in Cobb at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family which will be distributed to Agrace HospiceCare, Eden Cemetery, and the Humane Society. Special thanks to Caroline’s neighbors, Sam and Bev DiMaggio and Berdie Kaegi for their weekly visits. Also, her many other friends who were there to support her. Much appreciation to everyone at Beehive Homes for the care and love they provided during her final years.
Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation." by Rumi
