On Saturday, October 5th, 2019 Mark J. Montgomery, loving husband and father of two daughters, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while surrounded by family.

Service: Saturday, October 12, 2019, 11:00 am, Lake Arlington Baptist Church with Pastors Eric Herrstrom and David Jenkins officiating.

Mark was born May 9, 1957, in Fort Polk, Louisiana to Denzel and Patsy Montgomery. In the first half of his career, Mark owned both manufacturing and marketing companies in the window covering industry. The second half of his career was spent in the IT industry, most recently with Texas Health Resources. On August 27, 1977, he married the love of his life, Joan Eubanks. They have two daughters, Michelle and Lauren, and as a family went on to lead an adventurous life.

Mark spent his life serving others in many different capacities. He was involved in Children’s and Marriage ministries at Lake Arlington Baptist Church, Family Life Ministry in the DFW metroplex, and was a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship. He enjoyed traveling both locally and abroad. Mark loved music and singing, reading and teaching, and spending time with Joan surrounded by nature. He is remembered for his love of the Lord, quiet wisdom, devotion to marriage and family, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Denzel Montgomery and step-mother, Edith Montgomery, and his mother, Patricia Hopper and step-father, Jack Hopper.

Mark is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Elizabeth (Eubanks) Montgomery, two daughters, Michelle Montgomery and Lauren Bogh and son-in-law, Brandon. Also surviving Mark are brothers, Robin Montgomery and Don Grammar and his wife, Melanie and his step-brother, Jack Hopper, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Lynn Eubanks (Pat); along with many friends and relatives.

Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington, 76012.
