Death of Miss Fay Bell. Yesterday the sad intelligence was received in this city of the death of Miss Fay Bell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Bell The young lady had been an inmate of the French Hospital at San Franciso for several months past undergoing medical treatment. At different times her condition showed marked improvement, but relapses occurred so often that the past few days her death was hourly looked for, her mother was with her at the last. Mr. Bell departed on the Pomona Thursday, but did not reach San Francisco in time, death occurring at 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening. The deceased was born and raised to womanhood in this county, and with all her friends and acquaintances was a general favorite. She was very ambitious and studious, it always being her aim to receive a thorough college course. The past three years she attended the Stanford University, and was there at the time of being taken ill. Her demise is keenly felt by all who knew her and is to be regretted. Miss Bell was a native of Trinidad and nearly 22 years of age. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her parents, three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Carson, Miss Ada and Miss Estadella Bell, and one brother, Harry Bell. The funeral arrangements have not as yet been announced, but it is thought that the remains will arrive on the Pomona to-morrow.
