Husband, father, grandfather and brother was called Home to be with the Lord on September 28 at age 90. He was residing in Roseville at the time of his passing but was a longtime resident of St. Anthony Village. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Esther Thompson; his loving wife of 62 years, Carol; and his brothers: Marvin, Quentin and Royce Thompson. Dwight was born in Cooperstown, ND a place he remembered fondly and always referred to as "The Holy Land." He moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his Master's in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dwight worked for both Honeywell and Control Data Corp in Minneapolis. As a man of deep and abiding faith, he was active in the Covenant Church as an Elder and Board Chair.
