Scott Alan Mitchell

On Friday, Sept. 15 one of the most caring and faithful men passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family after a three-year battle with cancer. Like everything in his life, Scott faced adversity with a positive attitude and courageous spirit. While we are sad, we have no doubt our loving husband, dad, grandpa and brother we are comforted in knowing he has been welcomed into the arms of the Lord.

Scott will join his mother and father, Richard and Patricia Mitchell, and his brothers Jamie and Richard Jr.

Beloved husband of Barbara, daughters Shelly Godfrey (Bernard), Stephanie Johnson (Nate), Hannah, Emily and Colin Garza; grandchildren Keyana, Ashleigh, Javon, Sophie, Amiyah, Easton, Jaxon and Zariah; siblings Mark Ferguson (Jayme), Debby Mitchell, Marty Mitchell (Melanie), and Libby Walker (Davy); and 13 nieces and nephews.

Scott started his first career 20 years ago with AT&T where he worked in a variety of management positions before pouring his heart and soul into education. He was truly passionate about his work with Confluence Academy from where he retired this past Spring, rarely missing a day of work despite his ongoing cancer treatments. Scott’s loving, humble and positive attitude will truly be missed by all those whose lives were touched by this remarkable man.Scott Mitchell
