Keith Patton, 58, of Hayesville passed away September 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Habersham County, Georgia, but was raised in Clay County from the age of two. He was a 1979 graduate of Hayesville High School and played in the band in both high school and college. He graduated from Western Carolina University, receiving his masters degree in public health and administration. Keith worked in several states but the majority of his work took place in North Carolina as a health administrator. He attended the United Methodist Church. Keith was a charter member of the Franklin County Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed restoring furniture and photography.

He is the son of Jane Dailey Patton of Hayesville and the late Richard J. Patton, who died February 6, 2018.

Surviving, in addtion to his mother, are his wife, Kathy Patton; a son, Richard L. Patton of Oxford, North Carolina; and a niece and a nephew.

Interment in Union Hill Cemetery.
