Jimmy Deal Henderson age 67 of Crestview passed away on Friday October 4, 2019 at North Okaloosa Medical Center. He was born in Cabin Creek, West VA to Tommy and Jackie Henderson. Not long after his birth the family moved to Crestview and Jimmy has been a lifelong resident. Jimmy owned and operated Henderson’s Concrete for many years. He worked in Crestview and the surrounding area pouring slabs and doing concrete work for many a builder. In his younger years he loved to hunt and fish. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father Tommy Henderson and his first wife Brenda Howlett. Survivors include his mother Jackie Blocker; his 2nd wife and mother to his children Tammy Garrett; his children: Jimmy Deal Henderson, Jr. and Christie Williams and her husband D.J.; Brother Tommy Henderson and wife Debbie and sister Kathy Henderson; 5 grandchildren: Kayleigh, Dealin, Emaleigh, Jayden, and Caleb; 2 great granddaughter River and Riley. Also surviving are nieces and nephew: Tammy Lawson, Tommy Wayne Henderson, II and Stephanie Vaughn. The celebration of Jimmy’s life will be on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Reverend Geoff Prows officiating. Burial will follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home & Southern Heritage Crematory in Crestview.
