Juanita was born Sept 14, 1932 at Wynnewood View to the late Edgar Lewis & Nova Evelyn (Rogers) Norman. She died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Davis, at the age of 82 years, 9 months & 17 days. Juanita and Elbern Odell Warren were married on May 21, 1949 in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on Oct 10, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Norman.
Juanita grew up in the Woodland area, where she attended school. She spent 12 years working as a nurse’s aide at the Pauls Valley General Hospital. After the death of her husband, Juanita worked as a cashier and door greeter at the Sulphur Wal-Mart, until her health forced her to retire. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and reading. Juanita was a great cook, always preparing large meals for family gatherings. Whether you were hungry or not, Juanita made sure everyone ate when she cooked. Of all the enjoyments in her life, being with her grandchildren was always the highlight of her day. Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davis.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Warren of Davis and Randy Warren & wife Janis of Sulphur; one daughter, Kris Swader & husband Jimmy of Davis; four grandchildren, Benjamin Lee Warren of Sulphur, Kelly Alayne Hager of Washington, OK, Sara Nicole Shaw of Davis and Whitney Michelle Shaw of Bray; five great grandchildren; as well as one sister, Virginia Glasgow of Grande Praire, TX and one brother, Johnny Norman of Hennepin.
