Pittsford, NY - Jeanette VanPutte Carter died on December 14th, 2018 at age 99.
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her devotion to family & friends and for her love of life. She especially enjoyed singing, golf, traveling and bridge. She was a longtime member of the Baptist Temple.
Jeanette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nelson Carter, in 2005. Nelson was born and raised in Brewer, Maine. He was a graduate of the University of Maine, an Eastman Kodak retiree & for many years was a church organist.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Joyce (Robert) Lawrence, Nanette (Bernie) Notar; grandchildren, Rebecca (Robert) Haley, Geoffrey (Kelly) Lawrence, Stacey (Philip) Mulley and Pamela (Chris) Delaney; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; caring friends and her extended family Nancy (Stephen) Benn and family.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, December 19th, 11:00am at the Baptist Temple (1101 Clover St.). Private interment, Oakwood Cemetery.
