Eva Joyce Ferguson, 90, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:27 a.m. on Saturday, October 05, 2019, at her home in North Vernon.

There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 09, 2019, at Vernon Cemetery. Pastor Bruce Banister will officiate. All friends and family are invited to attend.

Born September 19, 1929, in Shelbyville, Eva was the daughter of the late Ivan Pete and Ruby Mae (Taylor) Banister. She was married on April 13, 1952 to Merrill Gene Ferguson. He passed away on October 30, 2008.

Eva was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed working with the Breakfast Bunch at the church. Eva was also a member of the United Methodist Women Society. She enjoyed sewing, helping others, playing cards, working puzzles, and gardening.

Eva will be missed and survived by daughters, Wanda Jean Ferguson, and Karen Sue Ferguson both of North Vernon; sister, Edna Davidson of Seymour.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Eva was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Kay Ferguson; sisters, Helen Barker, Evelyn Simpson, and Wilma Mae McDaniel; brothers, Ray Banister, Rex Banister, and Elmer Ivan Banister.
