July 3, 1947 - February 27, 2017 Douglas Neace, age 69, of Gays Creek, Kentucky , passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at his residence.
Douglas was born on July 3, 1947 to the late Johnny and Rhoda (White) Neace. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Gays Creek Full Gospel Church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife, Lillie Mae (Barrett) Neace of Gays Creek, Kentucky; one son, James (Deborah) Neace of Gays Creek, Kentucky; two daughters, Brenda White of Altro, Kentucky; and Norma (Scott) Hall of Altro, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Jordan Deaton, Matthew White, Brandon White, Jordan White, Derek Hall, Heather Hall, and Dillon Hall; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Neace of Wolf Coal, Kentucky; one sister, Nancy Sizemore of Austin, Indiana; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Johnny and Rhoda Neace, Douglas was preceded in death by sisters, Sally Sizemore, Reenie White, Eda White, Lenora Mullins, Vicie Neace, and Brealie Collins; brothers, Ray Neace, Burley Neace, Willie Neace and Monroe Neace.
Funeral services will be conducted at Altro Church of God at Altro, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 with Pastor Raymond Moore and Pastor Chris Turner officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by DAV Chapter 64 of Hazard, Kentucky following the service. Douglas will be laid to rest in the White Cemetery at Altro, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Altro Church of God after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
