WAYNESVILLE — Clyde Eugene "Gene" Decker, 63, of Waynesville passed away on Friday (Oct. 4, 2019) at his home.
A Celebration of Life service will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Waynesville American Legion Post in Waynesville.
Clyde Eugene Decker was born on Aug. 13, 1956, in Hartford, Ky., the son of Lincoln and Anna Lois Parton Decker. He was united in marriage to Donna Lowery on Oct. 3, 1985. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Jonathon Decker; three sisters, Sissy (Mike) Harrison, Phyllis Jeffries and Sylvia Kennedy and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He served in the United States Marines. He owned and operated D & D Ceramic Tile. He later worked for the city of Atlanta. His hobbies included fishing and NASCAR racing.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Quiram Peasley Funeral Home.
