DONALDS — Joyce Emerson Adams, 85, wife of Marvin T. Adams, of Smith Street Ext. died Friday, October 4, 2019 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Calvin and Grace Martin Emerson. She was a homemaker and a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Marvin of the home, are a son, Marvin Steven Adams (Sheila) of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Sherry Lynn Greer of Greenwood, and Sandra Joyce Boggs (Jimmy) of Donalds, two sisters, Maurine Davis of Ware Shoals and Sue Armstrong of Simpsonville, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Junior and Bobby Emerson, and two sisters, Joann Clamp and Gayle Horne..

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Robertson and Rev. Jim Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 2 to 3 on Monday, October 2, 2019 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church prior to the service. In Lieu of Flowers memorials should be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn., 38105.
