She was born in Kosciusko County to the late Harold and Pauline (Harman) Hartman.
Dori graduated from Leesburg High School in 1957. She attended New Horizons United Methodist Church, where she was lovingly known as the "Pickle Lady." She headed up several fundraisers and activities that earned her that nickname. Dori was very active in Knit-Pickers, United Methodist Women, and several bridge and euchre clubs. However, the most important thing that Dori dedicated her time to was her precious children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Lee E. (Artie) Granger, Laura L. Hardacre, and Michael A. (Sheila) Hale; brother, Thomas Hartman; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Larry Lee Hale; brother, Ellis Hartman; sister-in-law, Pat Hartman; son-in-law, Curtis E. Hardacre; and beloved pet, Bandit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Brad Hensley officiating. Burial will be at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
